Stowers Institute

The Stowers Institute for Medical Research was designed to be a leading global biomedical research facility focused on basic gene research in order to help identify the causes of disease. Created as a multiphase project and originally occupied by scientists in November of 2000, the Institute is comprised of a 600,000-square-foot complex on a 10-acre campus. Broadway has been the electrical contractor for the facility since the beginning of construction in 1997. We provided all electrical service, distribution equipment and emergency power consisting of backup generators. We also installed the building management system, security system and telecommunications network that includes multimode fiber cable to the desktop. We installed many specialty electrical applications required by the research facility such as laboratory fumehoods and controlled temperature rooms. We also installed the complete exterior lighting package for the campus buildings and grounds. Broadway is proud to be a part of the ongoing efforts at the prestigious facility.
